Capresso 440.05 MT-500 10-Cup Electronic Coffeemaker with Thermal Carafe

Amazon.com Review
Employing a stainless-steel vacuum carafe instead of a warming plate, this 1,200-watt coffeemaker brews up to ten 5-ounce cups in just 8 minutes for maximum flavor and aroma, and the carafe then keeps the coffee hot for 4 hours. The carafe prevents coffee from turning bitter, as it can when sitting on a warming plate, and doesn’t have to remain with the machine for coffee to stay hot. To reduce calcification, Capresso’s stainless-steel ThermoBlock system prevents water from contacting aluminum inside the machine. Other features: a digital, programmable, 24-hour clock/timer that makes it possible to have coffee ready in the morning; an automatic pause when the carafe is removed during the brewing process for a quick pour; a charcoal water filter to remove up to 83 percent of the chlorine in tap water; an electronic indicator to show when the water filter needs replacing; a setting for brewing three to five cups without diluting flavor and arom (more…)

So disappointed
We love the old Capresso coffee maker with milk frother. We have been using it at our weekend house for years.

Extremely Disappointed-Don’t Purchase this Coffeemaker
After using several different coffee makers over the years, I thought I had found one that would truly brew a great cup of coffee.

Best coffee pot we have had in many years. Using Starbucks Verona Blend and making to Starbucks brewing instructions, I was very satisfied.

Pricey but Totally Worth It.
The title says it all. Pricey but Worth it. Sure you can buy a coffee maker for $25 but it won’t make the coffee nearly hot enough to extract all the flavor out of your favorite…

Takes getting used to
Brews too fast and makes the coffee weak even if I use a finer grind and more coffee. I had to plug two of the three holes that lets the water out of the top and use MORE coffee…

I expected more for the price…
I’ve had this coffee maker for about two years now and have had many problems with it from day one.
First, the pause feature used to pour a cup while brewing does not work…

No Problems, good, hot coffee
I guess I was lucky…mine has had no problems at all. Everything works the way it’s supposed to and the coffee is very good.

Too many problems
I have had to send back this coffee maker once as the clock did not work properly and the machine gurgled constantly, overflowed and generally made a mess.

Good but not great
I had high hopes for this coffeemaker–lots of great reviews from some coffee aficionado websites. And it does make decent coffee.
